The School of Money & Wealth is owned by BlacBird Investments LLC, a leading financial intelligence consulting firm, providing financial education services to individuals, beginning entrepreneurs, and public/private organizations. Founded in 2007 by entrepreneur and investor, James "Bird" Guess, The School of Money & Wealth is becoming the leading provider of private financial education.

We are on a financial mission to "empower individuals and organizations with financial intelligence, so they can successfully manage real-life financial situations and create wealth."

Our Certified Financial Intelligence instructors are financial experts, experienced entrepreneurs and investors who know what it takes to be financially successful. We understand most people may be interested in understanding money, business and financial concepts, but often find it difficult to grasp and frustrating. However, with our real-life financial curriculum, games, and activities, we understand it's not only about sharing financial knowledge, but how you deliver that knowledge that assures successful learning.

Going one step further, we also understand that financial education or simply having financial knowledge is not enough. Our financial intelligence program focuses on teaching people how to use financial knowledge in real-life financial situations, so they can ultimately become financially independent and learn how to make money, save money and create long-term wealth.

Our President & Founder, James "Bird" Guess, graduated college with dreams of climbing the corporate ladder and becoming a prominent financial executive. But after only working a year in "Corporate America", James grew bitter of the politics and bureaucracy associated and decided to venture out on his own to become a full-time entrepreneur.

With a repossession and other unpaid debts on his credit, James had a negative net worth. Determined to take control of his financial life, he began to study money, business, and wealth on a daily basis.

Starting with only $1,000 saved from college, he single-handedly built a quarter million dollar apparel business from the trunk of his car. Shortly thereafter, his business model would transition from retailer to wholesaler of apparel, which generated $750,000 dollars in revenue.

James is also the founder of The Black Economy.com, an on-line financial intelligence magazine created to entertain, educate, and empower Black America to learn about money, wealth, business, black culture, and economics. He is an aspiring author and currently working on his first book, How I Made A Quarter Million Dollars From the Trunk of My Car.
