Jason Kidd to NY Knicks?
The Dallas Mavericks want to keep free agent point guard Jason Kidd.
Owner Mark Cuban said it himself Friday when he realised
that Kidd is the top target of the New York Knicks.
The Times reports Kidd is interested in returning to the NY-area (he played for the NJ Nets before the Mavs).
But it won't be easy for the Knicks, who can only play Kidd about $5.5 million using their midlevel exception and, according to the Times, are also unlikely to offer Kidd more than a one-year contract.
The NBA free agency signing period starts Wednesday.
