Beyonce Denies Banning Ex-Bandmate From BET Awards

Beyonce has dismissed rumours she banned an ex-Destiny's Child bandmate from performing at the BET Awards on Sunday.

Beyonce, who rose to fame with R&B group Destiny's Child, took the stage at the Los Angeles awards performing Ava Maria and picking up two awards.

Founding member LeToya Luckett - who fell out with the singer after she was replaced in the line-up in 2000 - was rumoured to be performing at the event to promote her second solo album, Lady Love. Advertisement

Luckett's absence from the stage sparked rumours Beyonce's team had threatened TV bosses with an ultimatum between the pair - nearly a decade after Luckett settled a lawsuit with the singer's father/manager Mathew Knowles, after accusing him of breach of partnership.

A spokesperson for Beyonce denies the story, reports the New York Daily News.

And Luckett has stepped up to address the rumours, telling the newspaper, "Everybody (who performed at the event) works hard and we all have something different to offer, from Keyshia (Cole) to Keri (Hilson) to Bey (Knowles), everybody is different in their own ways so it saddens me if that’s true, and I hope that’s not the case."

I don't believe this. LeToya performed on the red carpet during 106 & Park and she also presented an award with Chaka Khan and another young lady.

Who cares if beyonce or Jay-z performes..I can care less Im tired of seening B any ways and Jay-z is my boy but its time to let other people shine his good days or dead and gone

Beyonce and Jay-Z are really trippin..in fact they are starting to act like 50 Cent...real hater like. I heard they weren't going to perform if Chris Brown was in the Michael Jackson tribute. Nobody likes a hater!
