Chris Brown albums vandalized with ‘this man beats women’ sticker
Several copies of Chris Brown’s Fortune album have been labeled with a sticker saying “WARNING – Do not buy this album! This man beats women” in HMV stores in London.  The act of vandalism is in reference to the violent assault Brown made on his former girlfriend, pop star Rihanna, three years ago.

“It was very much an isolated incident and nothing to do with HMV or representing our views,” a spokesman for the store told E! News. “It would appear a member of the public popped into one of our stores yesterday and stickered a handful of CDs.

An anti-domestic violence campaign is suspected as the culprit behind the stunt. Though Brown has won some plaudits by visiting victims of domestic violence, it seems that the R&B sensation will never be completely forgiven by some members of the public for his actions.

According to a report by Bigwise.com, the “Deuces” singer said, “It’s in my heart to show my fans, my friends and family and the families at Jenesse who stood by me they were right to give me another chance. I’m working hard to make them proud.”

Brown has worked hard to revamp his image, though some of his actions of late seem to have solidified his bad boy reputation. He recently got a sugar skull tattoo (in association with the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration) and another that some have said resembles a battered Rihanna.

The question is remains: will he ever be able to fully overcome the stigma of his past domestic abuse?
