GABRIELLE UNION AND HUSBAND SPLIT

*Gabrielle Union and her husband of four years, Chris Howard, have decided to go their separate ways. The couple announced their split in a statement released Monday by Union’s rep, Lisa Kussell.

"The couple remains close and asks that you respect their privacy at this difficult time," the statement said.

Union, who turned 32 on Oct. 29, married the former Jacksonville Jaguars running back in 2001. The actress currently stars in the ABC drama "Night Stalker," and will appear on the big screen in "Running with Scissors" next year.
