Watch: R&B Singer Mary J. Blige Opens Up On Her Experience With Sexual Harassment
Mary J Blige is speaking up.

The Associated Press stopped Mary on the Golden Globes red carpet the other day to get her thoughts on the Times Up movement. (She had been nominated for her role in Mudbound.)

“Oh, I’ve had the fight since I was 5 years old,” she explained.

“I haven’t had anybody approach me like that since I’ve been in the music business. But, ever since from five to 17, I’ve been going through hell with sexual harassment.”

Wow. A way-too-common story.

“By the time I got to the music business, it was like, ‘Don’t touch me or I’ll kill you,’” she stated.

Hear Mary share her story of sexual abuse & more in the video below:

She is the best. Glad that she chiming into the conversation.

Icon Oprah Winfrey echoed a similar sentiment while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award. The media mogul delivered an incredible speech, in which she addressed Hollywood’s sexual harassment ills. Worth a watch if you missed it, we promise.

So powerful.
Since the name “Mary” is on our lips…

Her estranged husband, Kendu Isaacs, is claiming in legal documents that his divorce has been so stressful that led to him being hospitalized. Uhhh.

Supposedly, he has "experienced physical manifestations of stress and emotional distress from this matter, which has caused him to become hospitalized."

Kendu told the court that he would be “destitute” without financial support from Mary. He is reportedly attempting to have the court raise Mary's monthly spousal support payments. Again.

He insists that it is impossible for him to make his rent payments, adding that he is unemployable.

You're telling us. But not for the reasons he thinks.
A year after their divorce was announced, a judge ordered Mary to pay Kendu $30,000 a month in spousal support. He had originally requested $130,000 a month.

#MaryJBlige has been ordered to pay ex husband #KenduIssacs $30,000 a month for temporary spousal support. Mary had to pay $235,000 for retroactive spousal support and legal fees. Isaacs initial request was $129,319 per month but the court decided that amount was unreasonable. Messy!
Mary told Power 105's Angie Martinez in a previous interview that everything was "getting worse".

"It really is not getting better […] It’s just more [expletive], more nonsense, more lies, more denial, more stupidity."

“This is why everything is bad,” Mary added.

“He has the power to make it all go away, if he stopped demanding what he’s demanding. That’s not fair to me because he doesn’t deserve what he’s demanding. Why do I have to pay you?"
